Most candidates for citizenship in Canada must

hold a fixed place of residence

possess at least 3,095 days (1,095 days) of residency in Canada.

have submitted their taxes, if necessary
-
ace the citizenship exam
-
demonstrate their command of the English or French language
-
take a citizenship oath.
